What a lovely photograph.
Nice composition.
Lovely bright colour at the point of interest and more subtle surrounding colour.Well done with this.

Thank you John, it was way past its best as tulips go, the petals were wide
wide open and hours away from dropping off, but I liked it because it displayed
the inside better, and the background colour came out nice. I was quite
pleased with it, so thanks for backing that up :)Hi Jenny. The clarity is excellent where it matters and a lovely composition
however I can’t help thinking there’s a lack of ‘punch’. It possibly is the lighting
situation or perhaps it needs a boost.

I would agree with Pat on this one. I think that the shadow area in the middle needs to be opened up a bit and boost the saturation of the yellow slightly to accentuate it as the focal point. Just to give it a bit of an edge
