Fantastic image. Love the colour and composition. The feather is a nice touch.
WELL THOUGHT OF I LIKE PATHWAY LEADING THE WAY IN
MUST HAVE BEEN HARD DROPPING IN THE FEATHERMaybe it’s just me, but I think the feather just gets in “the way” of a perfectly good image. I find it distracting.
The lack of sharpness in the trees takes away any impact that this shot may have intended, at least for me. There is also a feeling of coldness or lack of warmth in the subdued colours.
I like it. Think just the opposite of Tex. You’ve created a very different feeling than most would have attempted. That the way many walks in Ireland really turn out.
The feather doesn’t do it for me. I see what you tried to do but it didn’t work this time.

The feather has personal meaning and this was in mind when adding and when merging the screen blends (screen and multiply with Blur on both and brought through primarily on the upper trees). The idea being to create a kind of surreal feel to the dull landscape and support the overall theme, which as I say was personal ….but I did think it translated well to the masses , though opinion appears divided :-) …and I can appreciae both in this instance….
