Bluebell

Took this photo in Forest Park, Boyle, at the weekend. Was thinking of using it in our club comp
Any comments welcome
I’m not totally gone on this image Alan, I think I would prefer it if the stem was vertical. The light also looks a bit dull but that could be my laptop monitor, if it was mine I don’t think I would enter it a camera club comp.

I would agree with Dave, it looks a bit flat. I think getting down a bit lower when taking the shot might have helped as well. You could boost it a little in PS to give a bit more impact../Mikka
I think the contrast and composition are nice. Colours are nice and natural looking in this also. (my monitor is calibrated)
If YOU like the picture thats all that really matters, dont let others shape you. I would enter it in your club competition, you have nothing to lose only gain, best of luck with it
Thanks guys. The stem was straight and it had no impact at all so I moved it.
My monitor is calibrated and makes a good difference to the colours. I printed this image but it has no impact whatsoever and I don’t like it now. I was lying on the ground taking this in a forest full of these. Flowers aren’t really my forte. The forest would
have made a great portrait shot with someone sitting among the bluebells.
I’ll keep trying ;)
