Problem with Resizing

I have a group photo 6268 x 3358 pixel and its 26×14 in size and to print a 10 x 8 from it. Have tried cropping with various sizes with no luck.
What would the best way to get a 10 x 8 print from this?

DermoHi – Your obviously losing about a 1/3 of the image when you try crop it…..so create a new blank 10in x 8in document in Photoshop.
Make this layer either black or white (new adjustment fill layer) – whatever suits your taste.
Then open the pano group shot – and drag it over onto the 10×8 document. – use the edit transform tool to make it fit top and bottom – then centre it.You will have blank space at the top and bottom – but the image will now print 10×8.
