Not been here in a while – time eh – just never enough of it………as always C&C most welcome.
ladyardilaunParticipantHi there Luisspellcast – many thanks for taking the time to comment :) I hear what your saying about colour…however I did not want to oversaturate the image and then lose the feeling expressed in same.
Im not at all familiar with stock ?? what is it -Im in the process of setting up a website and hoping to get busier than I am…so any advice greatly appreciated
aoluainParticipantvery very nice image.
for me the colours are perfect as they are!
very well captured – good idea!
would you consider a slight rotation clockwise to straighten
the scene and make the vertical lines . . . well vertical?5faytheParticipantHi ladyardilaun,
I think this is very good and like Alan the colour looks fine on my screen.
It does look like the type of image that might be saleable.I do have a couple of niggles.
(1) Leaning verticals grab my attention and they are definitely leaning here.
Something to watch out for at time of capture really.(2) Theres a couple of bits of foliage at the bottom of the frame which are nearer the
camera and are out of focus.
IMO opinion they add nothing to the image as they are and should be either in focus or not there.Otherwise I think it’s a classy image.
Well done,
John.
ladyardilaunParticipantThanks all for the postive comments – much appreciated – Alan/John – how is it I never noticed the vertial lines till you mentioned it – now its blatantly obvious and screams for correction !! Thanks for that :)
damien.murphyParticipantLovely portrait. Feel it might be slightly oversharpened in places for an image of people, and perhaps a little minute softness, the barest hint might serve the image well. Looking at it more deeply, perhaps the image wasn’t in focus completely in the first place, and the sharpening is jarring with that a little for me visually. In any case would definitely bring down the sharpening on the door, as I don’t feel it adds anything for me, and kinda distracts a little from your subject.
Also, would be inclined to add a little more warmth to the image, if even just to lift the green and blue on the door a little.
In any case, a lovely portrait, and hope you will hang around and post more! :)
