Nesting Swan

This swan had nested among the rushes on a lake just outside Glenamaddy, Co. Galway.
Fantastic to see the nest and 2 day old cygnet. Still one egg to hatch as you’ll see in the photos.
Will probably never see the likes of this again.
Great find by you,well done! The background suits well to add to the pictures and very interesting to see overall. Suppose these are all quite alike quality wise and the idea matters more here anyway than getting the best “technical” picture :)
Thanks guys. The nest was about 40m away and was using a 70-200 f2.8 with 1.4x extender to get close enough.
This is the only vantage point I could get a clear picture of the nest without intrusion Hense the similarity in the images. I was just waiting for some movement. Got a few more this afternoon with mother, father baby and egg all on the nest. A lovely sight. Full resolution is pretty good and sharpA nice set of very relaxed, natural shots. They are all quite similar but nice regardless. It’d be very easy to pick a select few and stick with them.
