An early morning walk and Wexfords on/off new library. On/off as it was approved on the site of a car park and a car park closed, suspended so carpark re-opened, re-approved at a cheaper price so car park closed again, developer went bust so car park with half built library under tight security, now re-commenced and almost finished.

beautiful image and nice story to go with it. I’ve always found myself very drawn to reflections on modern architecture and this one is particularly captivating. well done! I’m finding more and more that having a little bit of text to go with an image really helps to add meaning although I’m not particularly adept at it myself.

my only tiny niggle would be that i might chop the tiny strip off the bottom but it doesn’t really detract too much from the whole.

Thanks for your response Isabella. I tried the image with the strip cropped and it made a huge difference – not one that I liked to be honest. The strip gives it a bit more volume, without it and the black band across the bottom greatly reduces the impact. Scroll the image to the bottom of your screen and effectively crop it yourself to see if you agree. By all means say if my thought process is incorrect…we can’t be right all the time! ;-)

just gave that a go and I agree with you, it does lose a lot without that strip!

    Hi Alan,

    I really like this.
I think it’s very well seen and executed.

I too like a bit of text with a photograph and even though I am well aware of the story I enjoyed
    the humerous description.

I also agree with your reasoning re the strip.

    Well done.
