Poulnabrone at sunrise

    Took this photo on Saturday at about 5am…I used a little flash to fill in the shadows on the capstone.

    Sorry but I think you may have actually ruined this shot with the use of flash. It’s taken away any warmth in the lighting and there’s really very little to indicate that it’s shortly after dawn. I know someone else will disagree but that’s just my opinion.
    Aside from that, I think it could do with a bit more room at the top.

    I appreciate the comments, but I found that if I didn’t use the flash the area underneath the capstone descended into total black, making it impossible to capture the detail in both the highlights and shadows without going HDR, which I am not a fan of. Thanks for the feedback anyway!

    I dont think that the use of flash had any adverse effect on the image it opens up the shadows nicely have to agree though that it needs a little more space on top
