Bought new from Conn’s cameras in c. June 2008. Only Canon can give a shutter count but I estimate after looking at my LR catalogs about 40,000 actuations so no issues there. Well looked after, the sensor has only ever been cleaned by Marius in Conn’s. Original box, cables, manual etc. Original charger and 2 batteries. In good nick cosmetically, normal signs of use, but nothing major – no dings or major scrapes.
This is a super camera, the film-like quality of the file is exceptional even now and of course it has a full-frame sensor. Only selling to fund a 5D Mark III.
Sorry for no subject, but simply haunted by curiosity.
I have idea to upgrade my old 5D with 5d II or 5d III, but can’t understand how big will be difference. Can you tell a few words how great the difference between the two models? Are you happy for every euro what you spent?
Depends on your requirements. If you’re primarily studio based, or a landscape photographer then the Mark II is more than likely perfect for you. As a freelance photographer the superior AF and build quality, superior FPS, ability to write to 2 cards, excellent silent mode and other practical features make the Mark III worth the extra € to me, which is why I’ve been saving up for one.
