Couldn’t decide if the photos went into sport or people

I’m currently building a portfolio and got asked to photograph a gorgeous Irish Dancer in my local area.

im not sure about the politics but i think the angle of view may be a bit low on the first two….

It’s OK, her mum assured me that’s the view people at Irish dancing shows get. They wanted a few low angle shots to give the impression of height. I wasn’t sure myself but that’s what they wanted.

I’m not sure about the subject as I don’t know anything about Irish Dancing but the backgrounds aren’t helping you. You should have tried to find a clean background so that the focus is 100% on the dancer. The beach ones could do with a bit of a clean up as well as there is seaweed etc thrown around and it takes your eye away from the dancer.

I think the last one is the best of the bunch.

Thanks for the feedback, you’re right about the seaweed especially in the first beach photo. These are things I’ll remember in the future.
