Tair 300mm f4.5

  Hi all,
  After a bit of research, I picked up a piece of USSR camera history – A Zenit Photosniper outfit. It’s basically a Zenit slr with a Tair 300mm telephoto, a 50mm Helios,a machine-gun type stock and trigger system, various filters and bits and pieces. Very exotic and all bits are built like a tank. :D
  I was looking for a telephoto prime lens to experiment with and challenge myself to some”old-school” manual photography again (like my first SLR, a Praktika MTL).
  I’ve attached it with an adaptor to my 20D, set it to manual and have taken a few quick test shots today.
  So far, I’m very impressed but I would love a few opinions from the rest of you.
  Don’t worry about the subject matter, I couldn’t find any wildlife…

  Thats great. Always good to see these lenses getting put to use :)
