Wasn’t expecting many opportunities for shooting when I got down to Kerry yesterday but the rain finally started to clear allowing me to get out and grab this one. And look…. there’s even evidence that there is actually a blue sky up there somewhere :D

beautiful shot! camped on the side of the road in the black valley last year, we were washed out and grey with nothing as spectacular as that!

i like this – nice framing with the tree and rock.

I also like the framing. Is the light on the distant hills a bit ‘hot?’ Perhaps burning this slightly might work well.

Thanks for the comments. Wasn’t sure if the framing was detracting from the distant scene or not so, glad it seems to work. I’ll have a look at that sunlit area Steve. Some subtle use of the the burn tool might benefit it alright.

Lovely use of the tree to frame the shot. Really nice.

Cheers guys. I went back and tried the burning and literally 1 or 2 strokes at 3% made all the difference so thanks again

Nice shot Mark, love those cloud breaks letting the sun brighten just spots on the land, not often captured.
The framing with tree is great idea though for me the top dark branches might be better cropped out to leave the trunk and the lowest hanging branch as above is bit too heavy/dark IMHO
