Outside the White House by Jem173, on Flickrthough i understand what you may be trying to say and i perhaps might be somewhat inclined to agree with you i think something in the image doesn’t quite work.
at first the blurred background seemed off, but actually i think its better than having it in focus. what i don’t like so much is the level of grain/sharpening/whatever that texture is… i think if that was resolved the image would be quite successful.
