Nice scene Bren, cant help feeling it would have been better with all the
mast in though, it is lovely and sharp and the colours are good.

I know it would have been nice but the foreground was crap if I included it in the frame and I didn’t want to be hours in PS trying to clean it up

Oh Bren, roll me over!! That is one very nice shot. I live the colours on the hull and the reflection, just stunning.

I like the way the mast extends out of frame. I think that the lines of the mast and it’s reflection draw your eye to the colour and texture of the hull as well as it’s reflection.

    Very nice.

Lovely shot, really crisp. I love the lovely soft colours in the sky (I can never achieve this effect).

As mentioned, top of the mast is missing but I assume that was due to a limitation of lens width.

Great shot Bren. Love the golden light and golden timbers and reflections.
Not put out by the top of the mast missing.

Really beautiful light and colours in this image. I cant help thinking you could have lost some of the reflection to allow inclusion of full mast even though the sky probably was not attractive higher up.

The other choice being a landscape crop in camera or of image incl boat up to and incl the first clouds which would be deliberate exclusion of the full mast and reflection.

Sorry for the late reply but I was in the States for the last few weeks, Thanks for the comments everyone…. yes it would have been nice to have all the mast in the shot but the foreground was yuk! Here’s another shot from that evening I hope it’s more to peoples liking.
