  Hi Peter.
  Great “in flight” capture. It’s always nice when they decide to hover nearby. This is something I wanted to do a lot of this year, but TBH, I haven’t really bothered with any photography lately. Perhaps some extra space in front of the fly would make it better compositionally. Well done on capturing this & getting it in focus. Definitely not easy with the narrow DOF. Did you manually focus?

  Hi Miki.
  yes i manually focussed. On automatic the thing keeps beeping and changing focus because the DOF is so thight. I took however the easy option and did’nt shoot it in RAW but put my camera in to sport mode and kept clicking fast. In the end its the result that counts not the way to get there I thought. This picture is only a part of it I cropped it and can still have some space infront of the wasp. I’ll try it
