I went snapping around the countryside and kept what I liked…
I like how they turned out but I’m not sure how to rate composition or anything else.http://www.flickr.com/photos/pandakacks/7976018150/in/photostream” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;

IsabellaParticipantcompositionally (in my opinion) the second and third are stronger than the first. i really like the intensity of the colors in the sky and the crisp detail in the silhouettes.
the green blobs though could be considered quite a flaw (though if you like them thats fine!). these are caused by diffraction in the lens and happens when using a small aperture when shooting toward the sun or sometimes when the sun is at right angles to the lens. this can sometimes be prevented by using your hand to shade above the lens (or using a lens hood). a wider aperture also, although you won’t get the starry lines from the sun and you’ll lose the detail outside of the area of focus.
hope this is of use…

PandaKacksParticipantI kind of like the globes but now that I know how to stop them appearing I’d like to try some shots without them. Thanks for the tip! I appreciate it.. :)
And thanks for showing me how to post the actual photos. I hadn’t a clue what I was doing. :)
