Is there any appetite for a Disabled Photography club or society or something? One for the entire country. What are peoples thoughts?

I think it’s a fantastic idea! But would it take off? My suggestion is go to the nearest cope foundation or the likes and ask a representative there for advice. Maybe do a one or 2 day thing with them and see how it runs. :) I think that would be brilliant for people with special needs to be creative.

Or did u mean physically disabled?? :p

There is an organisation in the UK (link) http://www.disabledphotographers.co.uk/” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false; they might be a place to start for information and they might have contact with organisations in Ireland.

Andrew W. Both really. Physical and mental. I’ve “acquired” a number of physical disabilities as the result of a stroke. I’m not in a wheelchair 24/7, but I do have mobility issues. I’m just putting out some feelers.

I looked up the COPE Foundation, they seem to be based in Cork. I suppose there’s no fit all organisation when it comes to disability, but I was thinking more country wide. Maybe the suggestion of contacting the UK society as a first step is a good one.

I feel a bit lost though. It’s a huge thing to tackle alone…it would be great though. :D

I think that the foundation and idea for it is a base for something great! And could work out to be fantastic! Personally Im surprised there already isn’t one u know?! I mean photography is after taking off big time in the last few years!

Also. Sorry to hear that man. Hope ur ok and best of wishes for the future.
