  Just a few birdie pics from the other day.. I coulndnt help but think the blackbird was trying to see what brand of berries I was feeding him :)

  Hi Dec,

  You produce some lovely bird photographs and these are also very good.
  I’m no expert on this type of photography and hopefully wiser heads will also comment.

  #1 is really nice with the tilt of the head adding an extra dimension.
  The tip of the beak looks a little soft to me and it caught my eye but not sure.

  #2 is a lovely study.
  Not sure if the background was like this or edited out but either way I think it looks really good.

  #3 is another lovely image.
  Nice light.
  Good composition with the bird and branch placed nicely in the frame.

  A lovely set.

  Hi John,

  Thanks very much for taking the time. I see what you mean about #1 alright. . Probably a bit of movement in the beak #2the bird was eating a berry. .Poor light and not raising my ISO high enough only gave a shutter of 1/125 sec.

  #2 was taken over at Ferrybank on another dreary day. . The bird was on the edge of the breakwater with the water behind.
