I really like it. I used to draw things along the lines of that, long time ago though…

is it the same rock twice? they’re shaped a bit like africa was that intentional?

whats the wee thing to the lower left? unless it has a particular reason id probably take it out, just looks like a wierdy blob all on its own.

also, being picky about grammar I think its ‘boys’ and not ‘boy’s’ the former is plural and the latter is possessive… sorry, just finished writing thesis these things jump out straight away :D

Thanks guys and yes I guess thats what it is, fantasy art or surreal imagery using composites. The trees is from Maynooth , the bridge and heron from kenmare , the African shape sky islands are rocks from the garden and some of the water is from Torc waterfall :-). My original idea came from a proposal I read from kenmare tourism to link kenmare with the beara peninsula . The bridge forms the gateway and I had planned to link both destinations in a surreal composition. Didnt have enough images of both so ended up there last night :-) . Took some images since of buildings and will populate the Kenmare sky island over the coming days. Not sure if its gonna work but ….It might.

My initial go here was to see if I could make the rocks sit down with a sense of dept in the image and look semi real . Gave them the sense of dept with some dodging and burning (especially at the sides)……So the foundation is laid now lets see if the buildings work :-) and if the combination is something that could work for what I am trying to get to.

Correct on the “Boy’s” Isabelle! :-)…….just happy now I didnt use “Boyz” or I would have been dropkicked into the atlantic :-)…..and the blob is actually a Heron …..easier to see on the enlarged image but yes a blob on the smaller one. I used him to emphasis the drop below the sky islands, likewise the extrace space at the bottom of the image. Any suggestions on how to improve or tips on processing much appreaciated
