SPL Water Housing for 5D MKII
-
lukeleeimagesParticipant
Hi Everyone,
I am selling my SPL Waterproof housing which fits the Canon 5D MKII due to an upgrade in cameras.
Housing is in excellent condition and everything works as it should, all seals and o-rings are full in tact and have no cracking. This housing has spent the majority of its life in the lake as I mainly take wakeboarding photography.
The kit being sold:
1 x Body housing – apperture control , shutter speed control, manual shutter release and back button focus.
1 x Pistol grip with shutter release
2 x addition handles for side when not using pistol grip, handy for carrying or when you want to be more accurate and specific in your shot.
1 x Flash housing for a Canon 580EXII which has been absolutely perfect for those sunrise and sunset shoots.
1 x leash to keep your investment strapped to your body.
1 x Port for a 16-35MM Canon 2.8L lens, I would assume this would fit very similar lenses but I do know that the glass of the lens needs to be as close to the port glass as possible for image quality.Price: The kit cost me in around EUR 1500, require at least EUR 1000 for perfect kit that expands all possibilities of photography. Anyone wanting to take picture in the water of surfing or any watersport, this is the kit you need.
Payment Method:Paypal
I am based in Cork Ireland

Is the housing for the flash a stand alone times or does it have to be attached to the housing to seal it?John
lukeleeimagesParticipantHi John,
It can either be bolted on or removed when not needed and is modular in a way.
One thing I forgot to note above is I asked for a custom addition which is back button focus. I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Any other questions feel free to fire them over.
Thanks,
LukebeasleyParticipantThanks Luke, I actually have a housing but I have a mate on the hunt at the moment so Il pass this onto him but just wanted to see could I snap up the flash housing myself first, would love to try some off camera flash stuff in the water.
lukeleeimagesParticipantJohn, the answer is yes, you could snap it up as they work independently, separating them would cost a bit more as the additional value in selling as a kit would be removed.
Are you interested in the flash housing?
Thanks,
LukelukeleeimagesParticipantSorry John, just dawned on my what you need….no, it wouldnt work in an off camera method. You can buy them as separates but you would then need a pocket wizard housing to bolt on camera housing. Starts getting expensive…..but a hell of a lot of fun!
beasleyParticipantAh no worries Luke, probably for the best, not something I can afford at the moment but its rare to see such things turing up in Cork.
