Clongowes v St Michael’s rugby

Hi all, just wanted to post some shots I got of a schools rugby match today. Good bit of action in this game, unfortunately the tries were scored at the other end! C&C very welcome as I’m trying to improve.

I have them on Flickr Gortan but I’m not sure how to embed them in the post so the images show up rather than a link
I found myself having problems when uploading for the first time last month so here goes my solution; go to where you have the pic on Flickr, decide on the image you want, the Share option has an option for sharing the link, copy that, then paste when you click the [img]double thingie on the html editor of your posting box, the image should then appear as a part of your post. I use a site builder called SimpleSite which I find easier as all it does is copy image location.
If you are even more confused, I’m sorry! A general post on uploading is somewhere here but I just can’t find it at the minute.

Thanks for the explanation Gerry, I did try that but they just keep showing up as links in the post. I’ll have another look for info on the site about posting images but as you say it’s not very clear

Sorry to hear it isn’t working for you. I do genuinely believe that the Simple Site page I use is a lot easier than trying to get the pics from Flickr, but that is just my own preference. Set up a trial page with them and see what happens…have a good weekend.
1- have 2 tabs open…this site in 1 , flickr in the other.
2- on this site tab go to forum/ then required section (landscape , portrait etc ) /then click on new topic
3- go to flickr tab / open pic you want to share / click on “share” drop down menu above pic / MAKE SURE “BBCODE” IS HIGHLIGHTED at bottom of menu/ right click inside box underneath where it says “copy and paste” – it will turn blue/select copy
4-open p.i tab and and paste the info into the large box / then click on the “img” button above the box about 1/2 way across……
you can then hit preview to see how it looks or submit……..if you want to add text just add it before or after all the pasted info and “img”.
i have a feeling your copying the html in flickr and not the bbcode…hope this helps….Thanks Jodal1975, I’ve edited my original post to include them now. I was on the right track but I was posting the code in between the img brackets rather than putting it before. Let me know your thoughts
