Took this near Kilary Harbour on the Mayo/Galway border a week ago
C&C welcome
CelticpicsParticipantVer nice picture if maybe slightly overprocessed to my liking (desaturated hdr?).
well done.
Philippe.alanhunt99ParticipantThanks Philippe
It’s not a HDR shot. It’s one shot and applied a black/gold filter using color efex.
Didn’t do anything else to image. That filter slightly reduces saturation, increases blacks and clarity slightlyCelticpicsParticipantThanks for the info,
i have to say i never heard of this filter before,
would you be able to give me more details about this spot? i’d love to get there sometime.
cheers.
philippe.shutterbugParticipantLooks like a fabulous location, really like the effect of the filter on it.
Great shot.alanhunt99ParticipantThanks Guys. This location is just outside Killary harbour right on a bridge. Theres a place to park. Its on the mayo side of Killary harbour.
I used Nik software and color efex pro 4. Theres a filter there called black gold and this is the effect it gives. I think Onone do a similar filter.
Thanks againalanhunt99ParticipantJust won Gold medal for this photo in the IPF print and projected competition yesterday. Pretty chuffed.
brendancullenParticipantSuper news Alan – well done.
I see John Coveney won the overall Nature section and a kool €750 voucher.alanhunt99ParticipantCheers Brendan. Wasn’t really expecting it. My first national competition. €100 canon voucher so not too bad.
