Got eaten alive by the midgies this evening, there were plenty of swallows about but the
midgies won in the end!SeaviewParticipantshutterbugParticipantThanks Dave, it was a beautiful evening, lets hope it’s only the beginning :D
miki gParticipantLovely capture Jenny. Great composition, lovely reflections & nicely exposed. I’m sure the midgies were pleased too.
shutterbugParticipantThanks miki, haven’t been doing a whole lot lately, and I must say it was nice to get
Out with the camera again, despite the midgies! :Dpeewee3ieMemberLike it a lot Jenny.
I could picture that on my hallway wall in a3 or a2 size print.
I have a friend who the midgies love to eat and I think he has found a way to stop the little pest eating him. I will be chatting to him over the weekend and will ask him what does he use or dose to stop them from eating him. I will post back here when I get a answer from him

Thanks Tony, I know eating garlic puts them off, but unfortunately I have to stand downwind of all my friends and family!

Jenny maybe you could hing the garlic around your neck ;-)
Mardai24ParticipantThis is a very lovely composition. Can you tell me where it was taken? It looks like a beautiful spot.

Thanks very much! It is in Roundwood, Co. Wicklow it is one of the reservoir lakes, not sure if it is called the top or bottom lake,
But it is the one with the filter beds, the most southerly one. It is a lovely spot, I think having the tower gives a bit of interest
to. Thanks for commenting. :DoreillyfotografParticipantWow Jenny,
You know the story: ‘For this much goodness…’ There need to be an opposite amount of pain. I would imagine that you suffered a LOT for this one. Well done very nice.
Best regards,
shutterbugParticipantsndipoMemberCracking shot, Jenny! The stillness and the Sun, the towers add a lot as well! Any settings details? The pain was worth the gain anyway ;)
shutterbugParticipantThanks Vee! Settings were ISO 400 f13 15mm 1/125s. Hand held no filters, I am loving my
14-24lmm lens it is so sharp and gives beautiful clear shots, the only down side is the filter
System for it is an outrageous price, that’s why I have no filters for it! :lol:sndipoMemberOh wow, it does give clear shots if that’s handheld and no filters! Do much post processing?
