petereoinMemberThere are two comments that I have that might improve your shots:
1.) These photos give me impression that they where taken from a standing position, sit or kneel when shooting, it makes for a more dramatic photo
2.) Watch your horizons, if not when taking the photo, then during post processing, it only takes a few seconds and greatly improves the photo

I know, horizons big problem with me and I sometimes get it wrong trying to fix afterwards in PS! As for the shooting position, I have a wee stool that I use sometimes but had forgotten to bring it with me that day. My back is not the best when crouching down or kneeling, so sadly I stand most of the time if I don’t have the stool. I have one here that was done last night at a local underage GAA match where I was seated most of the time, considering the fact that it was almost dark and the lights were not on, I was happy enough with results. Shot at ISO 1600, which is the max limit really for the 1D Mk 2 N which I use.
I try to take on board all comments and appreciate those of you who offer advice and tips, so don’t ever be afraid to let rip at me, I’m thick skinned! (Gerry)
