This image looks a little “soft” to me as in slightly out of focus. Its also a little under exposed (dark). I think this is a potentially nice composition but I also think that the real shot here is the girl and her huge candy floss so getting closer or zooming in on just her would have made this a better shot.
Image #2
I am assuming the man and the woman with her eyes closed are the subjects of the shot here as they are in focus. This looks like an intensely emotional and private moment and you have to be careful taking these kinds of shots unless you have the subjects permission as otherwise you are intruding and being voyeuristic.
If you did have their permission then you should have taken a couple of steps to your left so as not to have the people in the foreground out of focus and blocking the shot.
an interesting point raised about voyeurism and photography…
it could be argued that photography by its very nature is voyeuristic and that therefore all photographs of people taken without their permission are voyeuristic…
how does one define intimate in order to know when one is intruding? when does one ask permission and when not? is it a personal decision?
I am not trying to be argumentative, or to criticize, i am genuinely interested in the dialogue surrounding images and issues such as this.
