Both pieces are in excellent condition and come with their original box and carry cases. The 70-200 comes with a 77mm UV filter to keep the glass free from scratches.
Sigma AF 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM APO and the 2.0X Teleconverter EX APO DG works perfectly together and increase the 70-200mm to 140x400mm at f5.6, but you’ll find yourself shooting at f8.0 at that focal length anyway. The lens is just over a year and a half old and the teleconverter is only 6 months old. Teleconverter has been barely used since I got it, I bought it for a couple specific reasons and since then I havent had a reason or chance to use it again.
The lens is lighter then its Canon counterpart but optically its as good, the only reason it is cheaper is due to the fact that it is not weather sealed and also has no image stabilization, but when shooting at 400mm (with teleconverter) you’ll be monopod mounting it at the very least. Low light performance is fantastic and I’ve used it for some amazing wildlife shoots in the time I’ve had it.
I am NOT willing to sell the lens without the teleconverter, but I will consider selling the teleconverter on its own. This is due to the fact that if I were to sell the lens on its own it would make it harder to sell the teleconverter, and since they work so well together it seems silly to sell them separately. Discount for purchasing both.
I can meet during the week in Dublin City if people would like to meet up and test the lens and teleconverter before buying. I’m also available evenings (after 5pm) if you would like to meet and collect it closer to my home (Slane, Co.Meath)
If you poke around my flickr you can see images taken with the lens and teleconverter. Anything wildlife related is shot with one or both.
PRICE:
800euro for both pieces
600euro lens
250euro teleconverteredg3ParticipantConsidering the money involved, economy and fact that I still have it all this time later I have decided to drop the price down to around 700euro for both parts.
Hopefully this might get it to shift :)
