    This is in the critique section so I guess you want critique. As a snap, it’s fine. I guess it was taken from a window. We all have those “damn, I wasn’t expecting that” moments.

    But … as a photo looking for critique, it has the most common mistake I see in nature photography: the shot is not taken at (actual or near) eye level with the subject. Ask yourself this, when taking a picture of a child, would you stand over them and take a picture of the top of their head, or would you kneel to get a more flattering picture?

    Getting down low has an added benefit; on a longer lens, it gives more compression and isolates the subject more from the background.

    Cheers Aidan, ye I know what you mean, get eye level with your subject..

    And your right it was taken out a window :)
