93 views and not one comment. Seems to be the way the site has gone over the last while. I will give you my opinion Rhys.

Firstly the white grey thing sticking out from the right edge of the shot is extremely distracting. The eye is continually drawn towards it instead of staying on the subject. You should crop that out as it will immediately improve the image.

Secondly there is way too much road in the image at the bottom. The motorcyclist is the subject here so crop out some of that road which will make the subject appear larger and more interesting.

Thirdly, I am not a fan of people putting their name in big black letters on their photos. Once again it takes from the subject and adds no benefit. If the point of this was to somehow protect your image from being reused, where you have your name on the plain grey road makes it very very easy to clone out.

Finally, a levels adjustment could bring out the motorcyclists face a bit which would add a bit more to the overall image.

As I say this is just my opinion.

Frustrating as it may seem, that’s just the way that it is Mark. To be critical these days just doesn’t fit in
to the PC brigades agenda & if you offer a critique it can make you a total b******!
Some people cannot accept criticism without viewing it as a personal attack, however well meaning the intent.

As for the above image I would agree with your critique.
Too many distractions in the background. A poor placement selection for the photographer!

the focus on the guys body is also a little bit soft unfortunately, which makes him a little difficult to look at – hurts the eyes a little bit
