I like the gold colour you have captured in the sea and the headland is a nice match for it. However the streaking clouds in the sky IMO rather spoil the atmosphere captured in the sea and land aspect of your photo. They appear to be at totally variance with the remainder of your picture. Perhaps technique for technique sake? I feel your photo would be so much better if you cropped out those clouds. Of course this is just one persons opinion.
Thanks Tex, yes I thought the cloud movement added some drama in the absence of movement on the sea. Its a funny sort of shot as you would expect to see the sun on the horizon but its to the right of the shot popping out between the clouds. Had you noticed the road along the headland or is it too small to be obvious?
Yes I did notice the outline of the road which adds a nice touch to the headland. Again I feel that your photo is quite lovely as it is and the drama of the clouds to my eyes are an unnecessary distraction. But of course people viewpoints differ.
