    Camera : Olympus OM4Ti + 24mm lens with Kodak HIE Infrared Film.
    Film : Developed in ID11 (1+1) 13 minutes
    Print : On Ilford MG FB Glossy in MG Developer. Print then scanned.

    killer film used there!

    The clouds didnt do you any favours as the tree
    doesnt stand out in the scene. It would have been
    great to see the tree with a black sky as the backdrop.

    interesting image in its own right though.

    Hi Alan,

    you are right about about Kodak HIE been a killer film and one that I really regret being no longer available. I use it for years and always got good shots, at least to my eyes. I find it interesting that you don’t like the clouds, because they’re the reason that I took the photo. To my eyes they appeared to be spreading out either side of the tree like angels wings, hence the title. But I guess that’s photography, everyone sees things differently, which is just as well.

    I see from your blog that you also shoot IR, that shot of a tree looks very like one that I took in Castletown House estate. Could it be the same one?

    yea i see what you mean by the clouds.

    the IR pic on the blog was taken in Galway at Ballyglunin !
