Three from a beautiful morning in Youghal this morning, I took a chance this morning and got up early hoping that the fog would be gone and I was nicely rewarded for my effort. After all the grey for the past week I was delighted to see a bit of colour.

Nice shots Dave , particularly like the 1st. What filter where you using and settings ?.

I on the other hand was hoping to get up to some low lying fog on the mountains this morning and nature didn’t let me down BUT I couldn’t drag myself out of bed!!. You have given me some enthusiasm to kick myself out tomorrow , hopefully nature will be patient with me!

    good work!

very nice Dave, especially #1. It’s amazing to think you can get such very different shots in a morning, pays to get out of bed early :)

Nice light in #1. I love how it reflects it’s colour on the rocks in the foreground.

The first one is great. Its can be quite hard to retain foreground detail with such a strong sun. Nice job there. Good warm tones on the rocks.

    Hi Dave,

As has already been said #1 is a really nice image.
The light on the rocks is very attractive.

    2 & 3 are very nice too.
Are they processed differently or was the colour just different?

    Nice work.

Thanks for all the comments, well appreciated. Number two and three were processed the same, the light was constantly changing. Number two is a three minute exposure while number three was a two minute exposure. Over the space of an hour the light / sky changed dramatically from being totally clear one minute to being fully clouded over the next. I was about to head home just before I took image number one as the whole eastern horizon was covered in cloud, thankfully I stuck around for a while. :D

    Dave.
