Very nice shot ,
personaly i like the light at the bottom of the tower .
Can you give us a few technical details, as in how it was shot …one long exposure ot multiple stitched together.
also how do you get this rounded circle star trails when others seem to only get stars to go in the one direction.
really nice shot.
philippe.
Thanks,
It was shot at f4 and iso400. I did several 300 second exposures and processed them in starstax.
I’m not entirely sure what you mean by the ‘curve’ of the trails. Perhaps because the shot was taken in
portrait and so features more stars closer to polaris and thus features more stars that have the ‘curved’
effect?
If you start to think about startrails too much you’ll start bleeding from the ears. I’m currently in the middle
east and the question I keep asking myself? Do starstrails move faster or slower the closer you are to the
equator? Now that’ll keep you awake!!!!!!!

I would suggest that he ‘focused’ on the pole star & that would give the effect that was captured.
