Just going through my files this morning and came across this one from October, I’d like to get comments on it as I’m thinking of printing and frame it.

    Thanks.

I think it’s definitely worth printing, the colours are wonderful and also reflected in the water.

I’m looking at this on the iPad so you can dismiss my comment but can you pull in a bit of lightness in the lighthouse…ie, make it a little whiter? To me it seems dark enough t be in the way of the sunrise rather than being a part of it. Just a little should do it but as I say, the iPad wouldn’t be known for it’s ability to represent images as they should be shown.

Dave you have captured a lovely colour in your morning shot but I’m not too happy with the composition. I feel that you should have more of the lighthouse in the picture, it looks as if the base has been cut off. There is also the problem of the lighthouse being in the centre of the frame. However this could be overcome by cropping off a lump of the RH side of the picture. I think the amount of light on the building is just about right and I would not be inclined to change it.

Thanks for the comments, really helpful. :D

Alan, how bright to make the lighthouse was key to this image and I also felt it was bit too dark.

Tex, I agree with you also with regard to the Lighthouse being too central and I think the main reason is that there’s a light post just to the right-hand side of the image. As for cutting off the bottom of the lighthouse, what you see is it really, there’s an old stone wall in front of the lighthouse which I felt done nothing for the image.

    Thanks again.

    Dave.
