Camera Bag

  Hi,

  I need a little help, I am probably asking a lot but I am looking for a camera bag I can take as hand luggage on a plane but that will hold my SLR, a 300mm lens and a 500mm lens plus camera accessories and my laptop and being greedy I would need a little bit of space for personal items. This would be doable if it wasn’t for my 500mm lens I can’t seem to find a bag that would take it, any help or suggestions would be hugely appreciated.

  I am going to China for 6 months and can’t bare the thought of being with out any of my gear.

  Hi Kirsten, welcome to the site! I have recently replaced my bag and I went with
  Thinktank they have a great range of bags and are lifetime guaranteed. I have a
  D600 + 300mm + 24-70mm + flash and room to spare (not much but enough for bits and pieces)
  It is way under carry on size so if you went for a larger version you should be able to fit
  Everything in. Lowepro are also a good make and do a large range. Expect to pay about
  €150 ish. Weight will be your only concern for carry on, mine weighs about 8kg fully packed.

  I’m so sorry for posting such a late reply, You have made my search for a carry on bag much easier, I have just been looking at thinktank and they might have just what I need, Im considering their Airport Commuter Camera Backpack, It might not leave a lot of room for my personal belongings but I guess I will have to compromise somewhere.
