Two very nice shots, my preference being the second, I always tend to go for landscape format for landscapes, portrait seem to leave me wanting to see the wider picture! But as I said two very nice images, and yes lovely to see some blue sky again!

Thanks SB and yes I tend to think the same way on Landscapes in Portrait. The leading jet trails lead me down the road on using the portrait format in that one

2nd image for me as well, but the two are great. The 2nd one makes me feel like I’m in the scene.

I agree with Jenny, prefer landscape format for landscape pictures. Thus the second one my pick of the two.
The clarity is brilliant, did you use any filters or processing or what?

Tnks guys. And Vee all that was used was a polarising filter but i timed it well (coincidence of course) such that the sun was at a 45 degree angle to my left when shooting hence the balanced feel to the colouring and tones in the sky , this seems to be when a polarising filter works best. Shot in raw also and pumped clarity slider up when processing.

Two very nice shots, number two for me also. I hope you print this image as it deserves to be printed large and hanging on a wall.

    Dave.
