Just one taken from tonight. Trying not to get things sharp but rather out of focus.
Opinions as ever both welcome & appreciated!I love using out of focus effects in an artistic manner. But I’ve nearly always found that without a point of reference (something in focus) then it’s hard to establish depth in the photo.
Even something as simple as focusing on the pavement in front of the subject (where his shadow is) but leaving him and everything else out of focus would give the eye something to latch on to while also playing with a massive about of out of focus-ness.
Just my opinion of course :)nice
i really like this, looks simple
but i would imagine difficult to get right straight off.well done

I was using an 85mm on an upward slope so focusing on the pavement wasn’t really an option & to be honest I
wanted a blurred image without any great detail. I just wanted to do something different!
This I believe was one of my first few of the night so a lot of luck with that.
