Agfa Billy – Folder Lens Advice

    Hi P.I.

Unfortunately when i was trying to separate the main lens from the second middle lens in an Agfa Billy Compur with Apotar 10.5cm f4.5 I cracked the second lens and distorted it a bit..

Wondering if anyone knows any good places to check for replacement glass for them. It wasn’t that expensive but was just getting around to correctly setting infinity and getting a few shots when noticed the two were stuck together with the green grease (which apparently is like cement when not used)..

Thanks for looking and thanks in advance for any info.

I’d keep an eye on eBay you will always pick up another camera there for parts and repair, set up a search and you will get reminders when one comes available.

Thanks Eddie, will setup some alerts. At the moment most are going for 60+ but might get one for parts or something..

    Thanks,

I have noticed recently some old film cameras are developing a cult status with users, mainly through forums ect, this is starting to push up the price of some basic models, an example is the Olympus SP 35 a nice rangefinder that can be used on manual as well as auto. In some instances its fetching over €200 euro, Its the same with some the Agfa’s including the good Isoletts. All good for film I guess.
