Advice for First Communion shoot

  Hi all

  I am looking for some advice…

  My daughter is making her first communion this weekend and I have decided to try and shoot some portrait shots myself rather than hire a pro, the problem is all of my experience is with landscape photography and I have little experience in shooting people.

  I shoot a Sony Alpha 65 with kit 18-55 and 55-200. I am hoping to do some shots outside in the garden (early morning) and some inside (using window light). Any tips/advice on settings, techniques etc would be helpful. Do you think it is worth hiring an additional lens, such as a 50mm ?
