Unusually for me I managed to get into the city last night. Here are a couple of shots. I did struggle to manage the tripod, camera and the brolly. :)

WeemanMemberNice series can you identify them please will be visiting Dublin and may have time to take the camera for a walk.

derek897ParticipantCheers Wee Man
The tall ship is the Jeanie Johnston, moored on the Quays,
the Statues are on the Quays
The bridge is the Samuel Beckett on the Quays
The red and green leaning building is the conference center on the Quays
All of the above are within a couple of mins walk of each other, if you were to start out at O Connell st and head for the docks along the quays you would meet them in the order listed above.IMGP2510from rawed1 by dr.shutter, on Flickr

seanyMemberderek897ParticipantCheers guys. I don’t get into town much, and I often feel self conscious walking around with the camera, (don’t know why but I do) but I must say I found the anominity of walking around Dublin enjoyable.
DerekSeaviewParticipantVery nice images Derek, number 1 is outstanding. The composition is really strong and I also like your conversion. Maybe when Weeman is in town you could arrange a photo walk, safety in numbers.
Dave.

Thanks Dave, it’s a funny one for me as I’m not aprehensive about safety just for some unknown reason it seems to be more like embarrassment, maybe it because I’m from a rather small village.
Derek.seanyMemberDerek I too find photographing a lot less embarrassing in a large city than somewhere I might meet someone I know, probably a fairly common feeling amongst photo enthusiasts of the amateur type I would think, different for those who do it for a living.
Michael.derek897ParticipantWeemanMemberMany thanks will maybe try to get into the area on my next visit.
