Scanning slides….

  to digital format.

  A friend has several hundred photos which were transferred to individual slides, used with a projector. (ah, what memories!).
  Question is, how best to convert to digital?
  Some form of scanner, or even a service, would be considered.

  If you just want a digital record why not set your camera on a tripod and take shots of the screen you project the slides unto?

  I’ve an Epson v500 scanner which does a fine job. They’re not too expensive.
  You could consider getting one and reselling later…
