I first stumbled upon the British Museum accidentally one day when I got off at Oxford Circus due to a problem on the London Underground and decided to walk back towards St Paul’s where I originally came from. As I was walking by I noticed this amazing and very beautiful building which was a prime example of Greek Revival Architecture and knew I had to go in for a visit. The building was designed by the architect Sir Robert Smirke (1780–1867) in 1823.
