[*]Hi all,
I havn’t posted on here for some time. I currently have a Canon 550D with Kit lens I have had it for a few years now but am hoping to go travelling in the next few months and am hoping to replace it with something a little more compact. I would like to know your opionins and experiences with Micro Four Thirds system cameras. I am currently strongly considering the- Panasonic Lumix GM5 http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMC-GM5-Mirrorless-Digital-12-32mm/dp/B00O2TIBOC/ref=sr_1_4?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1453777744&sr=1-4&keywords=Panasonic+Lumix+GM5″ onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;

I would like to know if anyone has any opinions of using these camera over a entry level DSLR.
Looking forward to hearing from you all.
Many thanks,
MikeWeemanMemberI use an Olympus OMD E-M1 with a series of both m4/3 and 4/3 lenses. I used to use the Olympus E5 camera which is DSLR sized.
Really like the smaller, lighter bodies and lenses. The quality of IQ is good, only weakness is birds in flight.mikeytoomoParticipantThanks for the reply. That seems like a nice one. I think I will probably go for a Panasonic System I think due to its price and size. I am currently stuck between the Panasonic Lumix GM5 which is super compact easily fit into a pocket and the slightly bigger but better Panasonic Lumix DMC GX7 both seem like very nice replacements for my Canon 550D but trying to decide if there is a much of a trade off IQ wise between the GX7 vs the GM5.
Whats the problem with birds in flight?WeemanMemberCamera struggles at times to capture BIF the latest software update seems to have helped the in lens IS on the new 300mm lens when used with in body IS is supposed to give great results. It really is too early to tell.
MarkKeymasterI’ve a Fuji XPro1 (no intentions of upgrading to the xpro2) and I love it. Super camera camera, bought it from berminghams last year with the 18mm and 27mm lenses as a bundle. Since then I’ve bought an adapter so I can use my manual leica mount lenses on it. Can’t fault it at all.
