I’ve used Rodinal and in recent years Kodak Xtol from Peter Fitz at thephotoshop.ie

I guess if you are happy with the results of what you are using then keep on using it.
Is there something you’re unhappy with currently?

There is not really one better then the other in my experience. They are just a bit different. It depends on what films you use and the type of look you want. Then it’s a case of liquid deceloprs being easier to mix than powder but generally more expensive.

Great Peter. Am using all Ilford at the moment and was just wondering if picture quality would be different if I went to different brands like Kodak or something. I know they wont make me a better photographer but I like playing with stuff to get different results

There is absolutely no problem using Ilford films with Kodak developers and visa versa. If you want to discuss in more detail, give me a call. Number is on web site.
