Olympus Stlyus TG Tracker

John Doyle632Participant
Hi all,
I need some help here. I bough an Olympus TG tracker. Nice wee action cam, 204degree with an F2 lens. waterproof to 100 feet, and so on. If there is any other users out there, I would like to know WHY my film is played back to me upside down ( in the camera, and on my PC) I have looked round the menu settings but cant seem to find any way of correcting this. Any advice welcome.
Regards JohnMarkKeymasterHi John,
I did a google and this is what I found…
Like the completely bonkers up-side down recording feature, which is hidden in to the angle of view menu. It took me good 10 minutes of desperation trying to find the feature as it is so easy to turn it on accidentally. (Hint: look at the little upside-down arrow in the field of view menu)
John Doyle632ParticipantThanks Mark.. Iv been there. There are only 2 settings in this option, neither of which will orientate the picture correctly. A rep from Olympus has told me that there are actually 4. but f****d if I can find them. (What insane teki decided that it would be a good idea to even create an option like this)… Thanks again… J
MarkKeymasterSounds nuts. Is there a factory reset on it which would set the whole thing back and hopefully fix the problem?
John Doyle632ParticipantHi Mark, Thanks again.. The factory reset done the trick.. When I eventually found it.. It is a good wee camera, does what it ses on the box n all, just a wee bit non user friendly and will take a bit of getting used to.. Regards John
MarkKeymasterJohn Doyle632ParticipantThanks again.. Strangely tho.. the people who built the camera are not able to give me any propper instructions as to how to sort the problem. I am keeping the conversation going with them at the moment as i find it all very amusing This is the most recent message I have had from “camera Suport”
There are 4 settings in the field of view menu and you need the one’s without the arrow pointing down. I too missed this and I am working on getting this made clearer.
Please see the link below to see the very slight difference in the pictures.
