Canon 24-105 error01 Help!

  Hi All,
  Went to use my Canon 24-105 L lens today and got the dreaded ‘error01’ message.
  Is there anywhere in Ireland that can repair this at a reasonable cost? It is my favourite walk around lens and I can’t afford to replace it at the minute.

  Have you tried cleaning the gold contacts on the camera and lens? Sometimes a poor connection can cause problems.

  Thanks for the reply Ballyman. Yes I have cleaned the contacts and it made no difference I’m afraid.
