I did a night workshop with John Meyler in the Burren recently and absolutely loved it.

This is the result….what do you think?

Great image Helen. The composition is lovely. Good round stars & nice mix of lighting at the horizon. The light painting of the foreground is nicely done, but I might have used a tad less to give it a more natural (to my eye) look. I also like the galaxy (top of image), nice detail. Good to see the Burren still has little or no light pollution. Well done

That’s a great shot Helen, the Dolmen really suits astro photography. I was there a few years ago at sunset and really struggled to get a decent shot. I know what shot I’ll be after the next time I make a visit, hope you don’t mind.

Work away Dave – that shot is there for the taking on a clear night but if you do go there in frosty weather make sure you wrap up warm. The best of luck and I look forward to seeing your shot.

    Very nice shot.

Further down the line for me taking shots like this. Hopefully in the future.

Good capture. I’ve never been to Poulnabrone. I’d like to visit the Rock of Cashel as well. Maybe get there later on this year and do a bit of sea fishing as well!
