    Hi Guys,
I was just looking for some advice regarding the business side of things in photography.
I’m a full time student studying photography but I started shooting events and press on the side and then submitting the images to the local papers and I’m now getting paid monthly for what gets used, I send in invoices and they pay me after two-ish months.
This is far from enough to make even a living on as I may only submit images once or twice a week, its really just some extra cash but I’ve been told I now need to register for revenue and start paying different taxes and register as a business and a list of other things. I’ve been also told that you don’t have to do any of this unless your earning over €37,500 but all of this goes straight over my head.
Is there anybody out there who knows what I must do.
I would love to do this as a profession in the future but atm is it even possible to do that given that I’m in college and it is only a couple of hours a week? Will i get in trouble if i don’t register for whatever it is i must do etc.
I hope someone out there has some idea,
    Thanks,
    Damian

Who told you you have to register for revenue?
