Eyeball question

This might be an odd question ,but it’s annoying me a lot lately and I don’t know what to do about it.
I’ve got like little black dots in my eye that won’t go away ,when I look in a direction the dots will follow.
I looked up the internet and the term used to describe them is floaters ,any idea how to get rid of them without putting a load of junk in my eye ???

    Any replies would be appreciated.

Umm, might seem like an odd answer, but go see an optician?

I did ,I was at the eye and ear a few times in the last few years due to accidents at work.
The problem I see on the internet is that in general ,theres nothing that can be done ,I use to work in very dusty envoirnments.
All the trouble started since the visits to the eye and ear.

I just thought that someone might have known something about it ,no point in ringing 11811.

Brian, they’re normal everyone has them to some level.
    I believe that they’ll just dead/old cells.
Best bet is to go to the opticians in case you have an abnormal amount of them

Grand ,it’s annoying the hell out of me when I’m out ,when i least expect them ,they pop into vision when I’m framing a shot.
Thought there might be a hidden remedy for them ,not to worry.
    Thanks,
    Brian.

Its the cause of them that you need to get looked at. Some are ok, alot might
mean there is something up. Thats what an optician told me last year.

My left eye is the same.

Thanks mark ,appreciate that ,I wasn’t going to bother about them ,originally I just put it down to all the laser lights at the discos or dust in work.
I’ll go in and get it checked out.

    Cheers

    Brian.

Laughing ’cause I didn’t expect to see that question! Can only confirm what others have said….they’re totally normal…I’ve got them too. You only need to get them checked if there has been an increase in numbers or they’re really troubling your vision.
Looking forward to learning lots about photography from ye all!

Sorry folks ,hope I haven’t degraded the site by asking stupid questions
I just thought of all people ,photographers or people who use their sight the most would know best about it.
Sometimes when you ask questions on the net ,you hear of things you don’t expect.

Thanks for the replies ,I promise no more mumbo jumbo.

Mumbo jumbo is always good! You’re right to ask…and as you can see we all obviously have come across these annoying little floaters!! May they float off into the sunset someday soon!! ;o)

Went in for an apointment this afternoon ,and I’ve nothing to worry about ,everything is cool.
Thanks for the replies and encouragement ,the girl was telling me when people are stressed or tired their focus gets a little lazy and they see things that normally they wouldn’t.
Test took about 40 minutes ,fairly thorough.
Appreciate the replies on it ,
    Cheers

Another bit of trivia regarding the floaters!! Was having acupuncture today and in Chinese medicine floaters are apparently associated with the liver. The things we learn! Anyways….I still have mine….I’ll let you know if they disappear!

Brian I get them too have done for years (well one anyway) only thing I can add to the rest is that if they appear in your pictures clone them out.
Sorry mate had to say that but if they don’t hurt don’t poke them as they will eventually.
