LoGillParticipant
I spotted this guy last weekend while I was wandering around Dublin… I thought is was a “moment”
I’d be interested in your comments and critique
Lorraine
goonerParticipantHey nice one. I like the flow of the street, leads the eyes.
Conversion to b+w is very well done also.nolongerParticipantIndeed. Nice DOF, good angle on it as well. Were you shooting telephoto with this? Otherwise I’m thinking he might have been a bit unnerved :)
LoGillParticipant:lol: I was using a borrowed 70-300 zoom – not a great lens but lucky i had it at the time.
Lorraine
LoGillParticipantSlightly different crop (more like no crop :? ) – What do you think ….. Better ?
Lorraine
gerardkParticipant(?) I am seeing exactly the same crop there.
*edit – ok I take it back there is a woman to the top right who is more visible in the 2nd one.LoGillParticipant:lol:
Someone told me it bugged them ever so slightly seeing her chopped off the edge of the shot … I never even noticed at the time… But I re-worked it and weirdly enough – i do actually prefer this version… I suppose its because the brain is sensitive to seeing parts of people chopped off … Dunno.. am i mad
Anyway – there you have it
Lorraine
gerardkParticipantYour probably right – it does add to it I think – looks like maybe they have had a row and she has stormed off.
geraldParticipantwell spotted shot and the second one is better as it could now tell a story of some guy ditched by his girl…or am i just a romantic..lol the only thing i would like to see worked on are the two highlights on the post things between the two figures as they are really bugging me and i cant stop looking at them….
Mick451ParticipantBetter shape and flow to the second one, Lorraine, like the lads have said there’s also a better story to it. Good moment well caught.
AllinthemindParticipantThe second one.. has a lovely curve through the pic. Nice range of ones, love cobbled streets.
AimeeParticipantI prefer the second one – the guy in the picture does lok like he spotted yo crouching to take his pic though :)
I really like the pic !RobertoMemberI like the second one as well. Good composition and tones.
I think that it will be better if you blur the three white points.RobMemberDefinitely prefer the second myself. Lovely depth overall and a well captured moment. Might have been slightly better if you could have gotten even lower on the shot though IMHO. 8)
LoGillParticipantI never saw those three dots before
This guy was so lost in thought he never blinked when i took this or when I passed afterwards, I think I probably could have lay down in front of him to take it and he probably wouldn’t have noticed… he was lost in thought.
Glad you like it
