Lens Babies

MY GOD!!!! They are everywhere… I have seen “maybe” 2 photos where the effect was excellent, the rest… pants !!
Does anyone here use them…
Why would you use one, why not just process the shot to the desired effect later.
Explain it to me please… :?Anyway – thats my soap box for today :P

I’d imagine that the initial buzz of using one would wear off fairly quickly
You’d probably end up over using it. Like you saw there were only a couple of
photos any good.Would be a laff to try one though :)
It’s the whole effect really…There’s loads of photographers really into it, myself included, though I’m coming from a more holga-esque side than the lensbaby.
It is (read ‘Was’) very unique. Then wedding photographers went head over heels…then it all came out.
It’s hard to get a good photo from it, but when you do, you can be proud! Not that I have a lens baby…good old 120 film for me! Yes sir!
Besides…250 quid for it? Ha!
One of the photographers back in Toronto that I normally really love (PhotoJunkie), does the occasional lensbaby shot (example). Not my favourites of his work, really.
